About me

Hi, I am Sunny, based in Newbury, England. I've spent more than 15 years in business and technology consulting and systems integration across the UK, the USA and Asia (India, China and Hong Kong), and ran my own consultancy, ITL, for nearly a decade.

I built a reconciliation engine to sort out my own crypto, after finding that existing tax software couldn't follow it. Since then I've helped friends and others in my community with theirs, and seen the same problems with DIY crypto tax tools again and again:

  • Your data lives in the cloud. Your full financial history sits on someone else's servers, and that matters: in January 2026, hackers stole customers' emails and tax figures from a French crypto tax platform and tried to extort it, while France has seen dozens of violent attacks on crypto holders.
  • You pay for software, not an answer. Koinly, for example, charges £149 per tax year for up to 3,000 transactions on its UK Trader plan (October 2026), with expert review extra. Importing, matching transfers and fixing errors is still your job, and if the figures are wrong, that's still your problem.
  • Support lags behind. New coins and protocols launch constantly. Bittensor subnet tokens arrived in February 2025; when I needed them, the leading tool I used couldn't handle them, and its Bittensor integration was only marked complete in June 2026.
  • The admin is left to you. Transfers between your own wallets or exchanges are sometimes left unmatched, so they can be counted as sales or show up with no purchase cost. Either way your gains, and your tax bill, come out wrong. Finding and matching them falls back on you: hours of detective work.

So my engine works differently. It handles several chains and exchanges, futures and staking, and new chains and protocols can be added quickly, as clients need them.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science and an executive management qualification.
